October is the ideal time to visit farmhouses, to undertake excursions with stop for tasting the new wine, grape juice and bacon, for chestnuts feast’s evenings with tasty and typical South Tyrolean dishes and with chestnuts and homemade “Krapfen”, everything surrounded by a good mood and traditional folk music.
A special day for the idyllic small village of S. Giacomo is the traditional “Kirchtag”, a celebration of the local church’s commemoration, and the following fair.
During these two festive days you may enjoy typical Gardena Valley’s dishes and admire ancient local traditional costumes. The known fair “Segra Sacun” is a popular festivity to meet and celebrate together with the native people.
